·I get great pleasure from blowing glass. It is a treasure beyond comparison. I love the workshop, the tools and the flames. The movements choreographed by the rhythm of the glass. The skills of my assistants adding to my own. Creation comes when I let go. No chance for corrections. No change of mind. Something ends and something new begins. There are so many things left to try, refinements to be made.

I like to surprise people and make things in glass that they would never expect. From intricate millefiori and

sprawling chandeliers to toilet-cleaner bottles and milk cartons. All are made with the same attention to quality and detail and with homage to the traditions of the great maestros.

I often work with contrasts in my pieces; ancient & modern, high culture & mass culture, fluidity & plasticity, function & impotence, beauty & banality.

Glass is an unique and excellent sculptural medium because glass captures light and movement. It is spontaneous and intuitive. It is a difficult material to master. So as my skills improve, it offers more of itself.
