We're also passionate about discovering and developing creative ways to share the gift of contemporary art with friends and those we love. Micaëla Gallery art registry works just like any other gift registry - you choose the art, friends and family contribute. For example, friends of ours started an art collection for their very young son. Each year, on their son's birthday, his parents and friends add a piece of art to their son's collection.
Beginning a contemporary art collection can seem time consuming (and daunting) for some. We've taken steps to make your first (or tenth or hundredth) purchase of art easy and enjoyable. Check out our calendar and drop in to view our exhibitions, or come by when we have opening receptions to meet the artists. If you're waiting for the right moment to begin your collection, this is the perfect time!
We offer consulting services for all levels of art collectors. Our consultants are experts on contemporary masters as well as the newest modern art available. If you're a novice, we can't wait to turn you into a knowledgeable seasoned collector! We are located at 333 Hayes Street (between Franklin and Gough), in San Francisco's Hayes Valley, a block away from the Civic Center, the Asian Art Museum, the San Francisco Ballet, the San Francisco Opera and the San Francisco Symphony. Gallery hours are: from 11 to 7 Tuesday through Saturday, 12 to 5 Sunday, and by appointment Monday.
