Established in 1997, Micaëla represents fine art and sculpture, by emerging and mid-career artists mostly from the San Francisco Bay Area in California.
The gallery assembles several solo and group exhibitions annually, reviewing artistic vision, as influenced by emotion, intellectual perspective, modern culture and the politics of life. The gallery features artwork on the horizontal and vertical axis, with focus on modernist works and sculptural glass. Micaëla Gallery has become an important American venue for collectors of glass sculpture; however, the gallery collection also includes modern prints, photography and video. In celebration of its 10th year anniversary, Micaela Gallery participated in SOFA Chicago 2007 and Art Now Fair, Miami 2007!
Located at 333 Hayes Street (between Franklin and Gough), the gallery is open from 11 to 7 Tuesday through Saturday, 12 to 5 Sunday, and by appointment Monday.
