Since ancient times, numbers have been used to describe our universe. The number 17 is a number symbolizing the evolution of the Cosmos. It breaks down to the number 8 (1 + 7= 8) which is a symbol of man’s dwelling in both the material and spiritual worlds, the celestial and terrestrial. 17 Symmetries was created using found footage that has been digitally abstracted using variations of the number 17 and 8.
