I am crazy about hot glass. But the greatest pleasure comes from using glass in combination with

other materials such as wood, rubber, nylon, laser cut stainless steel, precious metals etc.

When I use the glass together with other materials I always use them to accentuate the visual qualities of the glass.

I use the transparent nature of glass to create an interaction between the exterior and interior forms

. I think that the interior space is often overlooked in favour of the surface. My explorations into interior spaces have materialized in the form of boxes. My exam-project on Bornholm consisted of a series of boxes made in blown glass and other materials.

In my recent work I have developed a technique of embedding silver into the surface of the glass. I like the contrast between the finely polished silver and the raw texture of sandblasted glass. The initial inspiration for these pieces came at a time when I was living in Båstad, Sweden. Traveling through the dense pine-forests I would stumble across small forest lakes, sparkling in the dark.
