Artist Statement:

My work is organized in series of paintings each of them with a different theme: ‘nature’, ‘perspective’, ‘metamorphosis’ etc. In my last series “The Darkness of the American Dream” I created multi-layered paintings based on contemporary popular culture. As a starting point I used images from internet, vintage photographs and TV. Then I transferred these images on to wood, working with the pattern of the wood to suggest some rhythm. This sensation is also highlighted with bright abstract shapes that provide depth and movement to the painting.
