Marvin Lipofsky
Marvin Lipofsky (born September 1, 1938) an American educator, inveterate traveler, multi-awarded artist, respected sculptor, and passionate supporter of the arts, is a sculptor whose primary medium of expression is glass. Lipofsky is credited with a history of bridging international communities of artists through ideological barriers, over time and across continents, to become a fundamental pillar of the international glass community. Lipofsky’s career as a working artist is a history of artistic depth and broad recognition over its five-decade journey….
Marvin Lipofsky established respected glass programs at the University of California at Berkeley and the California College of Arts and Crafts. Many of his students are, in their own right, well known and celebrated sculptors. He resides in Berkeley, California.
