Micaëla van Zwoll enjoys many years in the art world, resulting in a contemporary and global visual sensibility.
Working with clients in the San Francisco Bay Area (and the USA, Europe and Asia), Micaëla's work is informed by a lifetime of travel, world views, and privileged friendships with high level art professionals [the story]. As a member of the SFMOMA's Modern Art Council, the FAMSF Auxiliary, and the OMCA, she meets established and emerging artists, and leverages these opportunities while curating client assignments and developing new collections. In honor of the 50th Anniversary of Studio Glass, she was invited to curate and document the Oakland Museum of California's celebration of contemporary and studio glass. In 2016, she collaborated with Fox Business News on a televised episode addressing estate valuation.
Micaëla and her team are art consultants, appraisers, conservators, curators, educators and project specialists. She collaborates and supports her colleagues, has shown artwork in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Frankfurt, Milan, London, Paris and Basel. Micaëla van Zwoll is a certified fine art appraiser trained professionally at NYU. Her reports are USPAP compliant (IRS), following guidelines set by Congress for donation/charitable institution, insurance, and personal valuations. She accepts and follows the strictest standards of the appraisal profession. She is a member in good standing of the Appraisers Association of America.

We organize presentations (manage exhibition and installation), prepare inventory documents, negotiate commissioned artworks, and make site-specific recommendations. We possess the highest level risk management (insurance, storage, shipping) available, and prepare collateral material (appraisal, conservation recommendations, portfolio management, publications).
